60 years MAKA
The new product range PE 90 was presented at the Holz- Handwerk fair.

In the 60th anniversary year MAKA presented with an innovative apperance, which was very positiv by the visitors.

 

2010

Prolimity take over CNC special machine builder MAKA. The traditional brand MAKA thus can be continued.

2006

Step into robot age
cooperation with Kuka Robots

2004

Environment prize
MAKA was honoured with the Environmental Prize of the Federal Association of the German Industry BDI as partner of the Thermoface Network.

2002

50th anniversary
New machine series MD6 and PE170 are the evidence of continuous development

1998

MAKA Machinery UK LTD
The branch in England covers the entire range of MAKA products and completes the European distribution network. The company now has representation through sales partners in all key European countries.

Certification
ISO 9001 certification was essentially just a formality since the MAKA quality principles of "high technical standards, absolute functional reliability of standard components, precision and long life" were always reflected in production. Modern design, ergonomics and operational safety can be taken for granted, as can the use of the most modern components of absolute quality.

USA Representatives
Start on building up of a network of competent sales and after-sales service partners for aluminium machining, plastics processing and woodworking.

1992

Foundation MAKA GmbH
MAKA GmbH specialises in the import and distribution of standard joiner's machines plus after-sales service.

1982

North Germany Branch
The branch in Herford, in northern Germany was established in 1982 as the company continued to develop. Over time this branch has added its own demonstration space, spare parts depot and service technicians.

1980

CNC Age
Being quick to recognise the effectiveness of automated workflow, the founder of the company let MAKA into the CNC age at an early stage. Continually developing forward-looking machinery such as the high-speed routing spindle ISO 40, the automatic tool changer and the 5-axis technology, MAKA have always been at the cutting edge of technology. Expanding their fields of activity beyond wood in response to market developments, MAKA now embrace aluminium and plastics as well, using their forward-pointing know-how to establish a global customer base.

1952

Foundation
The firm founder Max Mayer Senior had the idea to make carpentry easier by means of mechanical aid leading to the patented oscillating chisel mortiser and the foundation of the Max Mayer Maschinenbau GmbH with nearly 50 years of experience to date. The manufacturing plants in the Swabian Neu-Ulm and Nersingen have ever since formed the core of the company.
